2nd Chance Clothing Presents... Live Music-Poetry-Live Art
The Royal Palms Recovery Center - (across the street from MacArthur
Park) provides 135 beds for people that have started down the path to a better
life. It is part of the Mary Lind Recovery Centers (www.marylind.org) and has an
amazing success rate helping people resurrect their lives from drug addiction
and alcoholism. Once they regain their clarity, then, they can begin to see the
light at the end of the tunnel...
The program is raising funds, because
it is very much needed in a community were substance abuse is an epidemic. It
only makes a dent in the statistics, but lives are saved here - one by one. And
each soul rescued from the streets gives Glory to the Maker and is worth saving.
Too many people fall through the cracks, and we learn to step over "the bums",
numb to the misery they're living in. But, if you have ever seen a family member
or friend enslaved to a chemical dependency, that wanted to be free and just
needed a Second Chance at life, then join us on January 5th, 2013 at The Royal
