Sekreto in East Los Angeles | Photography by Sal Rojas Photography
The story of Sekreto has its beginnings on the streets of Gomez Palacio,
Durango in Mexico, where he began as a graffiti taggers and formed a crew
called ETA (En Tu Area), Sekreto's neighborhood homeboys had already
started to experiment with Rap music, His friends formed two different
groups one called Ce Cen Cem and the other BocaH. Both Ce Cen Cem and
BocaH would preform at local Hip Hop events and began to introduce Sekreto
to the public by adding him on alot of the group's songs. Both of groups
along with Sekreto would come to be known as the G Lokos.
Sekreto would constantly record music with both groups and eventually take
part of the LP "G Locos Vs. El Mundo". It was during this LP's Recoding
that Sekreto, BocaH and Ce Cen Cem would record the song "Caballeros Del
Plan G", which became a national underground hit taking the G Lokos on
small tour. The impact of the song would be so big on the nations Hip
Hop Sense that the public would come to know them as Caballeros Del Plan G
In the year 2000 Sekreto would start to establish himself as a solo artist
with the release of the single "3XL" produced by Serko Fuentes, and
shortly after filmed the music video. With a single and music video
Sekreto started his tour across Mexico including cities like Oaxaca,
Mexicali, Piedras Negras, Ciudad Obregón, Toluca, Aguascalientes, San Luis
Potosí, Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón, among others.
By 2001 Ce Cen Cem and BocaH had formed a fusion adapting the name
Caballeros Del Plan G and had started production of the next LP "Abrindo
Puertas". Sekreto continue to participate during the production of the
album. Shorty after Sekreto would get signed to Sones Del Mexside and
participate on a song for his new label mates Control Machete for the
groups third album "Un, Dos; Bandera". Sekreto would drag his whole G
Lokos family into the album turning the song into a Mexican Hip Hop
classic.
With both Caballeros Del Plan G and Control Machete's album on the streets
Sekreto was keeping pretty busy traveling from city to city becoming a new
icon of Mexican Hip Hop. Between 2005 and 2007 Sekreto was booked shows
