LATIN RAP CONFERENCE 2008 IS THE 6TH ANNUAL EVENT IN THIS AMAZING SERIES AND IT IS GETTING BIGGER AND STRONGER WITH EVERY YEAR.
The Latin Rap Conference is the longest running event of its kind bringing together over 300 people from the Latin Hip-Hop community. The LRC has always offered programming focusing on new issues and the unique business opportunities in the Latin Rap Genre within the world global music market. Touching on subjects like the production of music videos, radio air play, new promotion techniques and digital distribution among many other important topics.
The 2007 LRC gave the new and up and coming artists and labels the opportunity to meet face to face with key industry people, exchange contact information and received guidance and coaching from representatives from companies like Billboard, Mun2, LATV, ASCAP, BMI, Machete Music, Mediabase, Univision and of course BrownPride.com among others.
This year the LRC once again meet in Los Angeles, California, the number one Latin market in the United States. Among the topics that will be addressed this year are marketing & retail, print media, television, commercial radio and more. The panel will be analyzing how to take advantage of the new and different technology's that could be used today to develop and further one's career and at the same time help to take the genre to the next level by solidifying and straighting the existing ties of the Latin rap community.
Now in 2008, after a good strong six years of the Latin Rap Conference, the LRC is ready to introduce the Latin Rap Awards, honoring the best, brightest and legendary stars in not only Latin rap, but also taking a close look at Latinos who help shape Rap music and it's Hip-Hop culture as a whole. The award ceremony might also include performances from award honorees. This is aside from the presentations and showcasing of new talents to the music industry.
KRS-One, The Beatnuts, Will.I.Am of The Black Eye Peas and Public Enemy's DJ Johnny Juice and Chuck D are just a few of the legends that are taking the time to speak and give guidance to the Latin Rap community based on their experience of dealing with major recording corporations, media outlets, and both national and international promoters.
