The Marvelous Mr.Rich$ | The Body Art Exhibit April 11th
Born and raised on the marvelous streets of East Los Angeles. I was only 15 years old when I first picked up a homemade tattoo gun. I began tattooing my uncles, tias and older homies on the side of my grandmas house in East L.A. Growing up in Maravilla was a hard life but my love and passion for the art and tattooing was my ticket. I could remember my tias and tios telling me, “Rich one day you’re going to make it.” At the age of 17 I went with my mom to see a good friend Mike Avena at the Long Beach Show. I was amazed by the crowd he had around him then I looked at my Jefa and told her, “This is what I wanna do for the rest of my life and one day I’ll have a crowd like that!” She then surprised me by buying me my first Pro-Tattoo Gun. I’ve been slinging ink ever since. I’ve had the opportunity to work and travel with some of the best tattoo artists. I’m truly blessed for the life that I live, I’m living my dream.
