Kemo the Blaxican CD Listening Party- "Upside of Struggle"- August 17th

Kemo the Blaxican (Dead Silence Records) is a leading figure
in the world of Latin hip hop. He helped coin the “West Coast Latin hip hop
sound,” with former group Delinquent Habits and continues to create music
independently with contagious beats, clever hooks and thought-provoking lyrics.
To celebrate the release of his newest CD on Dead Silence Records, Kemo The
Blaxican will host a CD listening party at Libertine on August 17th, from
6pm-10pm. Libertine is located at 8210 Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. The event is
open to the public (21 and over) and is FREE with R.S.V.P. to

Upside of
Struggle, is series of hip hop tracks inspired by his roots; specifically
southern California culture and the music that influenced his youth—from west
coast funk, soul, and classic hip hop, to traditional Latin music. The album
features Sen Dog (Cypress Hill) and Tetsuya Weeping Willow Nakamura (formerly of
War) on “Just What You Feelin,” as well as contributions by Sick Jacken (Psycho
Realm).
Kemo The Blaxican is an MC, producer and independent music label
owner, who creates music that transcends cultures and blends hip hop with funk
and brown-eyed soul. Kemo The Blaxican’s music has also been placed in dozens of
commercial and independent films for over a decade, including “Ten Items or
Less,” “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” among others.
