Behind the Orange Curtain you can find some of the best
tattoo artists. They’re known for their award winning talent rather than
Hollywood-celebrity-driven hype.
Orange County, California has been a
hot spot for some of the best Chicano-based tattoo parlors in the world. From
Jose Lopez’s “Lowrider Tattoo Studios” in the O.C. (Fountain Valley, Orange, and
Costa Mesa) to Steve Soto’s two “Goodfellas Tattoo” shops in the city of Orange,
California. There has been a movement of talented Latino tattoo artists opening
their own personal tattoo shops to critical acclaim.
This past Halloween
weekend Adrian “Spider” Castrejon, a well respected air brusher and tattoo
artist, unveiled his latest masterpiece titled “Mi Familia Tattoo Studio” in the
city of Anaheim, California.

The grand
opening festivities featured live music, food, drinks and a gallery of art to
christen Orange County’s newest tattoo studio and gallery. The art on display
featured some of Spider’s own air brushed artwork, but also featured other well
known artists such as Fonzy, Mike Avena, Julian Mendoza, and El Johnny Quintana
to name a few that contributed to this successful event.
